Clouds and rain on the horizon: new ‘yellow’ weather warning

Bad weather arriving again in Romagna. From midnight today, Wednesday 16 October, to midnight tomorrow, Thursday 17, weather alert number 140 for thunderstorms, issued by the regional civil protection agency and Arpae Emilia-Romagna, will be active in the municipality of Ravenna. The alert is “yellow”.

“Conditions favorable to the formation of particularly intense or persistent thunderstorms are expected, more likely on the central-western Apennine belt and on the western plain – we read in the alert – The forecasted rainfall could generate widespread run-off phenomena, landslides on particularly fragile slopes and rapid increases in the hydrometric levels of watercourses which in the central-western sector could exceed the 2” thresholds.

In the following days, ARPAE informs, “a low depression in the Mediterranean area will bring disturbed weather conditions on Saturday, with rainfall gradually easing on Sunday.
