Closure of La Plantation in Plouisy: “Soon, there will be nothing left”

Announced on social networks by its manager, Alain Dutertre, the closure of the nightclub La Plantation, placed in receivership, has caused many Internet users to react. Many are those who deplore this “sad news”. Like Tino, who mixed in this beautiful club and wishes “good luck to the owner of the place as well as to his team”. “You had put all your heart into it”, laments Aurélien, joined by Lilipop and many others. ️

“That’s all it does, open and close…”, notes Mathieu. “It’s normal (that it closes) when people aged 18 weren’t allowed to go there, nor even well-dressed guys with a nice sweatshirt,” says Mélanie. Kevin specifies: “People aged 18 were allowed in. Over 25 was at the launch, then, due to strong customer demand, the age was raised to 18.”

“Courage to the whole team”

In the opinion of Laurence and many others, “it was off to a good start, a beautiful place where we could dance and have fun”. Nico is “really very sad for Alain, after all the work you have done. Very nice place, welcoming. Delighted to have been able to organize a country evening there in June which had nevertheless gone well. Courage to the whole team”. “Thank you all for the incredible evenings and to all the security guys, they were good, nothing to say. Thanks to Lili, Alain and Paulo”, adds El Bandolero.

The manager of La Plantation announced on Thursday the definitive closure of the establishment, which has been placed in receivership. Comments are pouring in on the Facebook page where the news was revealed.

“Thirty years ago, a club every 5 km”

“Les Chandelles (in Trébeurden) which were destroyed, and now this. Soon there will be nothing left to have fun in,” regrets Béa. “Unfortunately, the nightlife scene and more particularly the nightclub scene, is going through increasingly difficult times. Having mixed in nightclubs from 1987 to 2013, I have seen the evolution of the scene and the clientele. Before, we made ourselves beautiful to go out, the entrance fee was five times the price of a movie ticket, there were few checks or we knew how to avoid them… In twenty years, prices have increased very little, shuttles had to be set up, there was competition from night bars… Thirty years ago, there was a club every 5 km, now, you have to go 50 km to find one,” notes Laurent.
