Closing the year with a draw for PAS

The Stoiximan Super League tailback derby had no goals, no winner, with the Panetolico to take the 0-0 from him PAS Ioanninain Zosimades.
The Epiroites, on whose bench Michalis Grigoriou made his debut, will thus celebrate in the last place of the standings, with the excellent performance of Stefanos Kapinos allowing the visitors to leave Ioannina unscathed.
Panaitolikos finished the match with ten players, as Mavrias was sent off in the 82nd minute, with the hosts on the other hand seeing their negative record extend to 14 matches without a win in the league…

In the coach’s mind
A 4-4-2 formation was chosen by Michalis Grigoriou on his debut, with Kleiman under the posts and Soria, Pantelakis, Eramouspe and Tsaousis in defense. Karahalios and Gino were in the center, with Rosero, Tzima at the ends and Pamlidis a little behind Balan.
On the other hand, Yannis Petrakis remained loyal to the 3-5-2, with Kapinos at home and Mali, Br. Duarte and Mladen in the stoppers. Liavas and Torrejon were at the ends, Baldasara, Hadzitheodoridis and Huanpi had a more central role and Fr. Duarte played in the attack.

The match
The tempo was relatively slow at the start, with the first good moment finally coming in the 13th minute when Rossero found Jima in the area, but Capino stopped his effort.
PAS threatened again eight minutes later, with Balan catching a powerful shot from close range but again seeing the Greek keeper clear the danger.
The guests gradually raised their performance and threatened for the first time in the 33rd minute, when Br. Duarte headed home from a corner but saw Soria clear before the ball crossed the line.
A four-pointer by Rosero, which did not end up in the end, as he was late to bring the ball down, in the 40th minute was the last suspicion of the first half, which ultimately ended without a score.
PAS entered strongly in the second half as well, however the first good moment came from the side of Panaitolikos, with Fr. Duarte to make the shot from inside the area in the 60′, the ball changing course after a counterattack and finally pushing Kleiman impressive millimeters before crossing the line!
In the 68th minute, the hosts opened the scoring, or so they thought, as Balan’s goal after a corner was disallowed for offside by Pamlidis.

In the 82nd minute, we had a change in the balance as Mavrias received a second yellow card within three minutes for pushing an opponent and as a result he was sent off!
The hosts pushed for the winning goal but in the biggest chance they created, in the 90+1′, they saw the invincible Kapinos stop Rosero and keep his team up in Zosimades.

MVP: Stefanos Kapino had to intervene in three important opportunities of PAS Ioannina and declared himself present in all three, while being confident in his exits. Very good performance from the Greek goalkeeper, who contributed the most to his team getting the point.
