The delegate of the Board in Guadalajara, José Luis Escudero, participated today in the closing gala of the 21st edition of the Guadalajara Committed Film Festival (Fescigu), which concluded with the presentation of awards to the winners at the different categories.
Escudero, who spoke to the audience on this last day, thanked the Fescigu organization for the effort and programming of this edition, an event that, he assures, “has become a cultural reference in the province of Guadalajara. And he always does it, furthermore, with a clear commitment”, this being the year of recognition of our elders, with the motto ‘Accumulated Youth’.
The delegate of the Board reminded those present that “culture is an antidote and a vaccine against denialism”, pointing out that we cannot take “not even a step back” on issues such as gender violence or, precisely, the veto of cultural works and shows.
Along with Escudero, the provincial delegate of Economy, Business and Employment, Susana Blas, was also present at the gala on behalf of the regional government; the delegate of Education, Culture and Sports, Ángel Fernández-Montes; the delegate of the Treasury, Public Administrations and Digital Transformation, Sonsoles Rico; the Development delegate, Javier del Molino; the Health delegate; Pilar Cuevas; the delegate of Sustainable Development, Rubén García, and the delegate of Social Welfare, Carmen Gil.
