Closing Ceremony of Castro Vive el Teatro with a Flourish: Testimony on the Death of Sabina

“Testimony on the Death of Sabina” closed this initiative of Castro Municipality with a flourish.

Castro Vive el Teatro came to an end with one last performance of the play “Testimony on the Death of Sabina”, starring the great national actor, Gonzalo Robles. With applause and a full house, this XX version of the festival organized by Castro Municipio officially ended.

The presentation of the national company Teatro Imagen de Santiago was widely appreciated by the public, a fact that did not go unnoticed by its cast. “I find that what they do is a fantastic job because it is important to show Chilean theater, especially in the regions and throughout Chile. And we are happy with the behavior of the public and the reception that we had, I think it is a great public, and this is a great room, “said Gonzalo Robles.

For his part, Alejandro Barrientos, Head of the Municipal Department of Culture, made a positive assessment of this festival. “It leaves us very happy because it is an activity that promotes cultural activities, especially in winter in our city, and also because prestigious national and international companies come,” he said, recalling that “this is part of the 34th version of the temporary theaters of Puerto Montt”.

Along the same lines, the official made special mention of someone who was part of the history of this theatrical encounter: Mauricio de la Parra. “To whom also at the end of this twentieth version, we also thank him, because he was also awarded a medal of cultural merit, awarded by the University of Chile, the Pedro de la Barra medal of merit, which was awarded in 2008 , and this for what he did: decentralize culture in the country, and above all take it to more remote regions or places”.

It should be noted that “Castro Vive el Teatro” was positioned at the provincial and regional level under the administration of Mayor Juan Eduardo Vera, becoming a cultural-artistic attraction during winter holidays. This initiative is widely valued by the community, not only for the possibility of seeing high-level theater, but also for the quality of the actors who performed. In this regard, the neighbor of the Putemún sector, Pilar Millán, maintained that “the theater weeks were super nice. I went to two works, beautiful, beautiful. Hopefully these theatrical versions will last, and so that winter will be cut a bit », she pointed out.
