“The initiatives that we came up with were never supported, appeals to various governments about the effectiveness of the use of the funds spent were also not supported – neither Latushko nor Tikhonovskaya,” he said.

Tsepkalo accused Tikhanovskaya’s closest advisers of “turning around some millions of funds.”
“There is no trust in the decisions that will be made,” Tsepkalo said, explaining that neither he nor his wife would attend the conference of democratic forces in Vilnius.
“He is not our father, and she is not our mother,” the politician added in his post.
The fate of the opposition in Belarus
Svetlana Tikhanovskaya is a former housewife and the wife of political blogger Sergei Tikhanovsky.
During the protests in the country in 2020, in connection with the falsification of the presidential elections, she fled to Lithuania – because of the high risk of being captured by Lukashenka’s security forces.
At present, it is Tikhanovskaya who represents the democratic wing of Belarusian politics. Her husband is imprisoned by the regime at home.
