The company explained that it will return the amounts paid to all players who purchased (Founder) or (Starter) packages and played (Fortnite: Save the World) on (macOS) between September 17, 2019 and September 17, 2020.
The company also refunds the amount paid for any V-Bucks or (Llamas) purchased on Mac since September 17, 2019. However, it may take until October 2nd for players to recover the money.
Users do not need to submit a request for a refund, as it will be released automatically, and player accounts will still hold the virtual currency (V-Bucks) and the items they have purchased.
(Epic Games) stated that version 14.20, which has not yet been released, will cause errors to Mac users stuck in version 13.40, given that Apple prevents them from correcting their games on macOS.
Meanwhile, (Epic Games) is clearly directing players to its versions of Fortnite on other platforms, such as: (Nintendo Switch), (PlayStation 4) and (Xbox One), and Android devices and Windows for PC.
Apple and (Epic Games) are currently fighting an ongoing legal battle over (App Store) policies after Apple removed the Fortnite game, saying: The game violated digital storefront guidelines by adding an in-app payment mechanism.
A federal judge ruled three weeks ago that Apple could not end (Epic Games) access to the Unreal game engine development tools on Apple platforms, but the judge did not order Apple to return Fortnite to the App Store.
