Bear took it and almost ate the phone on inconsiderate visitor at the zoo in Stara Zagora. Another visitor told about the situation in her post, which was later shared on the zoo’s Facebook page along with a recommendation to other people.
The situation came to a head after the man tried to photograph the animal very closely.
“In the late afternoon today, a gentleman decided to take a close-up photo of the bears and ran out of phone in a hurry. The same one insisted that the officials return it to him, but I personally feel sorry for the bear,” writes Tanya Koycheva.
The zoo in Stara Zagora stated that the incident could have ended fatally for Tisho the bear and called for the rules to be followed so as not to endanger the lives of both humans and animals.
“There are rules in the Zoo – they protect all of you, but also the lives and peace of our residents. The cameras, on the other hand, are for identifying the violators of these rules, because there are actions that can have severe and irreversible consequences! Today, one photo could have cost the life of one of our bears. Likes on social networks are not important, we remind you again! Fortunately, our team, together with our supervisor Dr. Ivelina Ilieva, acted quickly and managed to prevent serious consequences. We are monitoring Tisho’s health,” the zoo said.
And they came out with recommendations and requests to visitors: “Do not jump over the fencing; Do not stick phones, hands or other objects through habitat fences; Do not feed or annoy animals’.
