The Suns are one win away from returning to the NBA Finals.
Devin Booker added 25 points and Chris Paul added 18 and several key free throws in the final minute as Phoenix beat the Los Angeles Clippers 84-80 at Staples Center.
The Suns went 3-1 up in the Western Finals, and will return to Arizona on Monday to seek to finalize the series.
The last time Phoenix was in the last resort was in 1993 when Michael Jordan’s Bulls did not let them be champions. Those Suns were commanded by Charles Barkley.
Paul George finished with 23 points, but this time he missed again at the end when he went to the free line, just like in Game 2.
Coach Monty Williams made key decisions in the final plays, because when the Clippers could tie the game in less than 10 seconds he sent Paul to be fouled, George went to free practice and missed one and the rest was history.
“The defense of the team has been great, the defense was done in a great way, and we have to continue like this, executing the plays accurately. We’re going home and we have to maintain the same intensity, “said Soles coach Monty Williams.
