Laurie Murray’s existence was first revealed publicly by Eastwood’s biographer, Patrick McGilligan, who recounted that her mother had a relationship with the star in Seattle. Lori also bonds with her biological mother, but the woman wants nothing to do with the child she gave up for adoption.
Fortunately, Lori and Clint manage to bond.
“This was obviously a big shock to Laurie, but I believe Clint was extremely understanding of her and the situation,” said a source close to Laurie, quoted by the DailyMail.
They are brought together by their passion for golf and nature walks, and since then their families have gone on several family vacations together. Lori is described by those close to her as a great athlete and talented golfer, just like her father.
After establishing that they are related, Lori and Clint meet their families and get together for some holidays, going on ski vacations and movie premieres together.
She is mother of two and lives in Lakewood, Washington, where she has been married for several decades to Lowell Thomas Murray III. Her husband is part of a prominent Lakewood family that has run a successful lumber company for more than a century.
Lori Murray attended the University of Washington and worked as an elementary school teacher in a private school. She and her husband own a large estate in Lakewood, as well as a home with a private golf course in California and property on the Hawaiian island of Maui where Clint and his ex-wife Deanna often vacationed.
“Everybody in Lakewood knows that Clint Eastwood is her father and has been for about 20 years, even though she wouldn’t talk about it. She never presents herself as Laurie Eastwood,” friends of hers told the DailyMail in 2018.
2018 is also the year the world officially finds out about Laurie after she attends the premiere of Clint’s new movie, The Trafficker. on December 10. On the red carpet, Eastwood is in the company of all eight of his children. Then his youngest daughter, Morgan Eastwood confirms that Laurie is indeed their sister.
At the 2004 Oscars, Laurie was spotted in a limo with Clint’s second wife, Dina, and on the red carpet, holding hands with the actor’s mother, Ruth Wood. According to her friends, Lori had a wonderful relationship with her grandmother. The two women kept in touch and often spent time together.
DailyMail.com contacted Clint’s grandson from Lori, 69, L.T. Murray, who revealed: “All I would say is he’s been a wonderful father to my mum and he’s always been great to me and my family whenever we see each other.”
Clint’s granddaughter, Kelsey Murray, got married in June 2016. It is believed that the wedding took place at the actor’s ranch in Mission, California. She is a real estate broker in Tacoma.
Clint Eastwood also attended the wedding of his grandson L.T. Murray in Washington State in 2012.
