After pointing out that accountability is a central element of contemporary democracies, and one of the main instruments that allow public administrations to comply with the mandate made by citizens with transparency and efficiency, the municipal president of Zinacantepec, Gerardo Nava Sánchez, highlighted the climate of social peace that prevails in this town hall.
When attending in person with all the health measures to avoid any contagion by Covid-19 to render his Second Activity Report, and in a solemn session of the Cabildo, Nava Sánchez underlined the coordination and willingness of the auxiliary authorities to work in the construction of a better municipality.
“We have managed to establish effective communication networks with the delegates that have resulted in an unprecedented approach and have allowed us to take actions, works and services where they are most needed,” he emphasized.
Likewise, he stressed that social peace is a collective human right and it is a fundamental duty of all to seek and defend it.
“Thank you delegates for joining the public service so that harmonious coexistence prevails in Zinacantepec. Today we position ourselves in the Toluca Valley as an important economic development pole, ”he said.
Strategies to face the pandemic
The municipal president of Zinacantepec said that this year will also be remembered for the threat of one of the most lethal pandemics that humanity has faced, a virus that suddenly transformed our reality and that unfortunately has claimed the lives of some of our loved ones, friends, neighbors and close colleagues.
“The health emergency continues to represent a great challenge for everyone, in the public sector, in the private sector and for society in general,” he said.
Derived from the above, he said that in the municipal administration that he heads they assumed the pandemic with full responsibility because they know that the most valuable thing people have is health.
“Despite the fact that many activities were paralyzed and putting our own health first, we work every day so that essential public services are not lacking,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that the strategy of this municipal government to face the health emergency has consisted of different actions, including: the dissemination of the health measures recommended by the health sector to prevent Covid-19 and sanitization of different spaces, as well as municipal offices .
“In Zinacantepec the fourth transformation is underway, this essentially means achieving between all of us, from below, a better society and a fairer municipality,” he concluded.
