The third edition of Sky Up The Edit, Sky’s educational project that promotes the digital inclusion of young Italian students between 8 and 18 years old, which involved, over the course of two years, more than 16,000 boys and girls and over 900 classes from all over Italy.
The initiative was presented today during Sky TG24 Live In Romaduring a debate attended by the Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi, lo chef and television host Alessandro Borghese and the multiple Olympic medalist and world diving champion Tania Cagnottoairing tonight at 21:00 are Sky TG24 and on all its digital channels.
This year too, teachers and students will get involved by tackling the major themes of Climate Change, Sports Valuesto which is added in this edition that of Healthy and sustainable nutrition. Pupils from primary and secondary schools throughout Italy will therefore have the opportunity to take on the role of a small editorial team and create, thanks to the contents made available by Sky, a real multimedia journalistic content lasting 90 seconds on one of the three proposed themes.
With Sky Up The Edit, students will have fun in the test your digital skillsthey will develop a critical approach to the world of information and they may improve some soft skill fundamentals such as problem-solving and team-working skills.
There are many educational and in-depth content made available on the portal dedicated to schoolswhich for the third edition is further enriched with an ad hoc gallery of exclusive Sky Nature, Sky Sport and Sky TG24 titles and documentaries on the three proposed themes, ranging from sustainability to the values of sport, from the climate crisis to the importance of healthy eating, to provide useful ideas to students and teachers during the creation of journalistic content.
From this year, for the older ones there will also be the possibility of living a unique experience, the Sky Up Academy Studios. The in-person teaching activity – dedicated to classes III, IV and V of secondary school already registered on Sky Up The Edit – will allow students to immerse themselves in the Sky world directly from the Milan Santa Giulia headquarters. During the visit the children will have the opportunity to discover the professions of a media & tech company, to reflect on their own professional aptitudes and to test themselves with Sky technology to make an original video.

Last edition I had the opportunity to participate in more than a few meetings and the positive reaction and participation of students pushed us to continue on this path undertaken with the awareness that we must broaden our horizons and give continuity to this initiative. Because school, in particular, is the place where all these opportunities must be consecrated by overcoming infrastructural difficulties and cultural barriers, with dedicated educational programs”.
