In London, climate activists disrupted a BBC classical music event. During the First Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, two demonstrators stormed the stage with flags, as can be seen in a video published on Twitter by the organization Just Stop Oil.
The demonstrators intended to address the audience, but were almost immediately removed from the stage by security guards. There was a lot of booing from the audience.
The organizations want the British government to stop issuing new oil and gas licenses. They also think that the BBC pays too little attention to the climate crisis.
Previously, Just Stop Oil also disrupted a number of sporting events, including Wimbledon, the World Snooker Championships and The Ashes cricket event.
