It is really unpleasant to find out that your money is not safe anywhere. Although banks are developing increasingly sophisticated mechanisms and applications to prevent someone from taking your money, it turns out that the weakest link is you, or rather the clients in general. They are the ones who make a mistake in the vast majority of cases and often lose everything.
They took advantage of the big changes
Usually various miscreants try this following certain events that are talked about a lot and that people are not that well versed in. Then it is enough to call the person and tell him that you have something for him, that you will solve something for him, or that he must act himself. If you jump on it, and it’s fairly easy with sophisticated fraud mechanisms being used today, then you’re already on your way and it’s very likely that you’ll get ripped off.
This time, these groups found something really cool. Česká spořitelna, as the largest bank in the Czech Republic, literally threw a trap at them. It announced to all its clients that the method of logging in and confirming transactions is changing. Until now, this was done through the George key application, but it has now been incorporated into the banking application itself.
In reality, it was a minimal change that most clients would not even notice. But the way it was talked about might have caused some clients some anxiety about whether they could handle the transition and understand everything. Unfortunately, it is at this moment that fraudsters come in who call customers and offer them a solution.
It’s hard to know
There are already several recorded cases where it ended really badly. For example, a fifty-four-year-old woman lost half a million crowns in this way, within a few minutes. She was approached with the fact that an alleged employee of the bank would help her with the new application. In reality, however, she gave him her login information, confirmed the transaction, and the money was finally gone. She will never get them again and the bank will never return them to her. It was simply her fault.

Unfortunately, these structures are increasingly difficult to detect. They hide behind professional-looking web portals that look like your bank’s banking. What’s more, today they can even call from numbers that seem to belong to the given bank, in this case Česká spořitelna. When you see it in black and white, few people would think that someone would deceive them like this. Nevertheless, one cannot but appeal to people to be cautious, because it is often their life savings.
