Clients of Saulkrasti social care home with Covid-19 were separated in separate premises, Baiba Stjade, the head of the Communication and Tourism Department of Saulkrasti Municipality, informed LETA.
The head of the social care home Jogita Skujiņa pointed out that by Monday, November 2, 30 employees of Saulkrasti social care home will be taken care of by four employees who will live in the care home 24 hours a day.

She admitted that all the residents of the care home are asleep.

According to the photos on the municipality’s website, at the beginning of October Saulkrasti Social Care House has been celebrating 20 years since it has been providing services. The municipal management also took part in the celebrations. The photos, which have now been removed from the website, show that the participants of the celebration did not observe the distance set by the country.
Saulkrasti social care house is located in the same building as Saulkrasti hospital, where a large prevalence of Covid-19 has been established. At least 26 people are now known to be ill, including ten workers.
As reported, Covid-19 found Saulkrasti social care home for two employees and seven clients.
