Clevershuttle ceases operations in Berlin – Berlin.de

Clevershuttle, a service provider belonging to Deutsche Bahn (DB), is ceasing to operate in Berlin, Dresden and Munich.

Clevershuttle and Deutsche Bahn announced that they want to secure the future of the employees concerned. At the three locations, there should therefore be information and advice for jobs at Deutsche Bahn that are desperately looking for staff. A total of 650 employees are affected by the company’s withdrawal from the three cities, 400 of them in Berlin alone.

Because of the tense financial situation of the federally owned DB, the Federal Audit Office is also critical of rail investments as in Clevershuttle. A federal money should not flow into such new mobility services, rather the railway should stop activities that it cannot finance itself, according to a report to the budget committee of the Bundestag.
