This technology was developed through the main technological platform of New York University Abu Dhabi, which can be used in several areas such as cardiovascular issues and patient issues. The printing process of the model includes three stages , are: Three-dimensional image reconstruction, and this procedure involves establishing a three-dimensional model from diagnostic imaging data to provide a digital keyframe that shows the patient’s anatomical structure, the then 3D dissection, which allows for more detailed analyzes of the patient’s structure and organs, and then 3D printing, which involves creating a precise copy of the patient’s anatomical structure. and allows a surgical approach to be taken that is more precise and more appropriate to the patient’s condition, with the highest level of accuracy, and with the least risk.

Regarding this condition, Dr Hossam Younis, Chairman of the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, said: “Comerell’s diverticulum is considered one of the rare malformations of the heart and the blood vessels, and it is even rarer when the aorta joins it with a right arch, as this condition occurs At a very low rate of 0.03% worldwide, and due to the nature , which occurs without symptoms, or the appearance of symptoms usually associated with others. conditions, these congenital malformations are rarely found, which require high medical knowledge and advanced techniques during surgical interventions. “
