The Cleveland Browns secured a ticket for the play-offs in the National Football League (NFL) on Sunday (local time) for the first time since 2002. Cleveland also benefited from the fact that the already qualified Pittsburgh Steelers spared some top performers in the final main round game, and won at home with 24:22 on Sunday.
The Baltimore Ravens (38: 3 in Cincinnati), the Tennessee Titans (41:38 in Houston) and the Indianapolis Colts (28:14 against Jacksonville) have also joined forces in the American Football Conference (AFC) for the postseason starting next weekend qualified.
In the National Football Conference (NFC), the Los Angeles Rams (18: 7 against Arizona) secured their play-off spot on the last day of the regular season. The Chicago Bears benefited from this and remained in the title race despite a 16:35 loss to Green Bay.
The play-off is completed by Washington, which secured a wildcard duel against Tampa Bay with a 20:14 win in Philadelphia and is in the knockout round for the first time since 2015.
