Gold for women, silver for men. The teams of Clermont Athlétisme Auvergne (CAA) did not make the trip for nothing to Grenoble, this Sunday, on the occasion of the national interclub championships cadets-juniors-hopes. The young Auvergne athletes have indeed brought back two medals from this end-of-season meeting.
The track of the Bachelard stadium has indeed allowed the representatives of the CAA to stand out. Already performing during the regional stage, the women did even better this time in a tough national context. They total 15,257 points and finish in first place ahead of EA Grenoble 38, credited with 15,100 points and Haute Bretagne Athlétisme, 15,024 points.
On the men’s side, Montpellier Athlétisme Méditerranée flew over the competition with a total of 15,516 points. The Clermontois are classified second and at a respectable distance with 15,054 points and are slightly ahead of the premises of EA Grenoble 38, third with 15,029 points.
