We are looking for you for the Cultural Office of the State Capital of Stuttgart. The position is part-time (95%) and permanent.

In addition to providing traditional services, the task of the Cultural Promotion Department is to pick up on current trends in the cultural landscape. The development and promotion of new performance and rehearsal rooms is a new priority for the local council: As part of a 20-person team, you will carry out administrative tasks. You will also be responsible for promoting the film department and promoting district festivals.

  • You are responsible for the development and implementation of a funding strategy for play and practice spaces for art and culture. You work in close coordination with the relevant specialist advisors
  • In addition, you are responsible for the review and processing of funding applications, some of which include business plans, as well as for the preparation of grant notifications and initial review of proof of use in the film department and the funding of district festivals
  • You also advise cultural workers on funding issues and on the preparation of proof of use
  • You plan and monitor the position-specific budget
  • They organize working groups, committees and jury meetings
  • The preparation of documents for the top management, in particular greetings, draft speeches and municipal council proposals, rounds off your work

Your profile that suits us

  • a degree in public administration (FH) or Bachelor of Arts (Public Management / Public Economy / Cultural Management) or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
  • professional experience in cultural institutions or in the creative industries
  • Good specialist knowledge in administrative and grant law is just as advantageous as specialist knowledge in the field of business administration
  • Good MS Office knowledge; SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Communication skills, ability to work in a team and independent working style
  • Interest in Stuttgart’s cultural life, especially in the areas of film and music
