Cleo was last seen at 1:30 a.m. Saturday night, sleeping in the family tent.
Australian media report that she must have woken up around this time to ask for something to drink. But when her parents woke up at 06.30, she was gone. Since then, no one has seen the little girl.
The family was on an overnight trip in the Blowholes area, located in Macleod near Carnarvon in Western Australia. It must have been the four-year-old’s first camping trip.
– Would never leave the tent
The family reported the four-year-old missing. After several days of intense hunting both on land, at sea and by helicopter, there is still no trace of Cleo.
– We have stayed close. We have not left. We have just been waiting for her to come home, says the mother in an interview reproduced on the Australian morning program Sunrise.
She is convinced that the girl would not have left on her own.
– She had never left me in the store. She would never leave that tent alone, she says.
The police have worked from two theories – that Cleo left the tent alone, or that someone took her.
– We do not exclude anything, and one of the scenarios is that a third person has taken Cleo out of the search area. If that happened, then Cleo could be somewhere in the state, says Police Inspector Jon Munday.
Zipper open
Police Inspector Munday also states that one of the zipper openings in the tent was open when the family discovered that Cleo was missing, and it was opened to a height that Cleo himself would not have been able to reach.

Leading criminologist Xanthe Mallett has now pointed to one of the most worrying details of the mysterious disappearance.
Mallett posed as a guest on the TV show Sunrise on Wednesday morning, where she said that it looks more and more like Cleo has been taken.
She justifies this with the fact that the four-year-old has not been found in the nearby area where she was first reported missing.
The sleeping bag disappeared
One of the strangest details, according to Mallett, is that Cleo’s sleeping bag has also disappeared.
– You do not expect a four-year-old to take his sleeping bag with him, Mallett says.
This comes after Cleo’s family first spoke out about the four-year-old’s mysterious disappearance.
– I know that she manages to get through whatever it is she is going through now, says a weeping mother in the feature on Sunrise.
Prayer for help
On Sunday, the little girl’s mother posted an appeal on her own Facebook page, with a request for help finding her daughter:
“It’s been over 24 hours since I last saw the spark in my girl’s eyes. Please help me find her! Call the police if you hear or see anything at all “, it says on Facebook.
During the heartbreaking post, she has attached two photos of four-year-old Cleo, where one of them shows the pajamas she last wore. Pink and purple nightwear with blue and yellow pattern.
«Last seen 01:30 and away when I woke up at 6 from our shared tent. This is very, very unusual for Cleo “, it was further stated in the post.
The four-year-old is described as 110 cm tall with honey blonde hair and brown eyes.
