Cleo Smith has disappeared without a trace from a camping trip in Western Australia

A major search operation has been launched after four-year-old Cleo Smith disappeared from a tent trip with his family in Macleod, Western Australia.

Cleo was last seen at 1:30 a.m. Saturday night, sleeping in the family tent. But when her parents woke up at 06.30, she was gone. Since then, no one has seen the little girl.

The family reported the four-year-old missing. After four intense days of extensive searches both on land and from the air, there is still no trace of Cleo.

– We are seriously concerned about Cleo’s safety, it says a statement from police Monday.

– Help me

On Sunday, the little girl’s mother posted an appeal on her own Facebook page, with a request for help finding her daughter:

“It’s been over 24 hours since I last saw the spark in my girl’s eyes. Please help me find her! Call the police if you hear or see anything at all “, it says on Facebook.

During the heartbreaking post, she has attached two photos of four-year-old Cleo, where one of them shows the pajamas she last wore. Pink and purple nightwear with blue and yellow pattern.

«Last seen 01:30 and away when I woke up at 6 from our shared tent. This is very, very unusual for Cleo “, it was further stated in the post.

The four-year-old is described as 110 cm tall with honey blonde hair and brown eyes.

The post from mother Ellie has received massive support and has been shared over 120,000 times at the time of writing.

– Critical

The police do not rule out that it may be a matter of abducting the four-year-old.

“We will continue to give everything we have in this investigation, and we will continue until we have some answers to what happened to Cleo,” police inspector Jon Munday told reporters on Monday, according to The Guardian.

Both helicopter and drone searches have been launched to find the little girl, but the police inspector says that the conditions in the area are demanding.

– Every hour spent with a four-year-old out in this area is critical, there are obviously limited water supplies, it is hot and very limited with shelter. It’s very, very worrying, Munday said.

Tuesday reported local media that the search for Cleo continues, this after being interrupted by the extreme weather that is ravaging the west coast of Australia.

Police Inspector Munday says he would like the police to have more answers, but that they simply do not know what had happened to her.
