“Certainly, we score tests in the first period, but zero passes: two balls carried, two interceptions. We weren’t that dominant. We have even been broken three or four times, but they have not been able to carry out their actions. There were a lot of guesswork, we struggled to put our rugby in place. When we wanted to hold the ball, we made bad choices or hand mistakes. There will be things to review. Fortunately, on the basics, we were pretty good and efficient. It allowed us to take the score and give ourselves a little air. But it was far from perfect. The start of the second half, on the other hand, was positive.

We rather built things in the right order with a good ball carried and a second rather well negotiated by the three-quarters to go behind the line. The occupation was better too, Toulon did not succeed too much in passing the midfield. We would obviously have signed to beat the Toulonnais with the offensive bonus. But once again, we have to be demanding, we cannot afford to abort actions by bad choices, two against one failures, avoidable hand errors, bad connections in the rucks. There is still work to really achieve a full match. The atmosphere ? It was great to see people so eager to get back to their team, it feels good to have them behind us for eighty minutes. “
