Things are going fast for Clement Peerens. His band, the Clement Peerens Explosition, or CPEX for short, is disbanding. This was initially celebrated with one farewell concert on 20 December 2022 in De Roma. However, the performance was already sold out in less than two minutes, after which some new dates were immediately set. All tickets have already been sold for this.

The enormous popularity of CPEX is confirmed by De Roma. “This is unprecedented, only Nick Cave did better,” it sounds.
Clement Peerens himself is currently not available for comment, but has previously said that we have no business with the cause of the split. He did, however, send a response through his management:
“Dear ticket buyers, I have a new girlfriend who is determined to go skiing for Christmas. This year, thank God, that won’t work with the corona. And next year – if that person is still around – that will not work in terms of agenda either. Therefore: thank you all! You’ll be costing me, because I’m going to have to buy a mountain of strings and plectrums, but for once I overlook that. Joes, Clement.”
So it’s clear that after more than twenty-five years, the band is more popular than ever. According to Tim Torfs of De Roma, there were 6,000 people on their site at the same time at peak times, and there was a queue of 5,000 interested people. “Only Nick Cave did better.”
According to our music connoisseur Bart Steenhaut, this is typical for large bands. “Many great artists go on a farewell tour for the rest of their lives. The farewell tour of Elton John will eventually also have lasted seven years,” it sounds. So will probably be continued.
