Many actions

In 2021, the Local Mission relocated by holding offices in the municipalities of Morbihan and Côtes-d’Armor by setting up the ML’Tour. “ We went to meet young people who are difficult to mobilize and called “invisible”, that is to say young people without a professional situation and who do not benefit from any professional support. explains Laurence Lanoë, director of the Mission locale du Centre-Bretagne. This led to the establishment of municipal watchers to strengthen links with municipalities and identify young people in need of support. The Local Mission has chosen to strengthen its presence on social networks and in particular on platforms TikTok and Snapchat. Finally, the structure has also set up the Youth Engagement Contract, offering young people a dedicated adviser, an activity program of 15 to 20 hours per week and an allowance of up to €500.

And for 2022?

« This year, we are going to accentuate the work around mobility, with the provision of two scooters at the Pontivy branch and participation in the mobility platform project. “, explains Laurence Lanoë. The Local Mission will continue to make itself more visible in the territory in order to mobilize even more isolated young people. This will be done through the links established with local sports clubs or charities. Then, the structure wishes to develop its actions in favor of the learning of basic knowledge and the fight against illiteracy. Regarding the prospects for the decade to come? We want more and more young people to accept the accompaniment, that they don’t give up. And that if the young people hesitate to push the door of the local mission, that they no longer hesitateshe concludes.
