Clear: Örgryte is forced to leave Gamla Ullevi

The Superettan club Örgryte IS announces that their premiere match against Östers IF on April 11 will be moved to Bravida arena. In addition, the home match in the fourth round against Västerås SK will be moved to Nya Ullevi. The reason?

“This is because the lawn at Gamla Ullevi is not yet in playable condition. The reason is a hard match unusually well into the autumn of 2020”, the club writes on its website.

Whether IFK Gothenburg and Gai’s matches will be affected is currently unclear.

We do not expect to play our first two matches there, said Gai’s club manager Magnus Sköldmark to GP on Wednesday.

Previously have GP reported that all clubs will in all probability be forced to move matches. One factor is that they want to ensure that the hybrid grass at Gamla Ullevi maintains a good standard before the Champions League final, which is played there on 16 May.
