Clear loss against AIK – BP

It was a clear loss during Saturday afternoon’s training match against AIK at Grimsta. The visitors took an early lead and then rode on that wave throughout the match. BP got into some situations but had difficulty getting real scoring chances and find the net.

The match began heavily. The away team took an early lead, with former BP player Jonah Kusi Asare putting in a pass from Taha Ayari already in the fifth minute of the match. An early uphill battle for BP after a couple of opening minutes of the match with even play from both teams.

After the goal, it looked like BP started to eat more and more into the game. With several good actions and a lot of play in the opponent’s half of the field, however, they had problems coming up with any concrete scoring chances and getting dividends.

After a quick adjustment and an unfortunate rebound in BP’s own penalty area, it was instead AIK who extended their lead in the 24th minute of the match, again through Jonah Kusi Asare. During the rest of the half, it was BP who created the most, but they still had problems getting into dangerous situations and challenging AIK’s goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt.

The second half started well. With several initial dangerous chances, they began to approach a reduction goal. In the 58th minute, however, AIK got into a dangerous counterattack situation which was parried by goalkeeper Filip Sidklev, but who then unfortunately misinterpreted the subsequent situation and picked up a rebound home from their own defender, which resulted in an indirect free kick for the away team. The ball was hit into the goal by AIK midfielder Abdihakim Ali and the score was 0-3 with half an hour left to play.

During the second half of the match, BP makes several changes. Among other things, we got to see games from junior players Charlie Nildén, Philip Pawlowski, Ossian Nordvall and Gustav Renman. Newly acquired Frederik Christensen again played 90 minutes, along with Alexander Jensen and goalkeeper Filip Sidklev.

BP tries but never really manages to get into any dangerous situations in the opponents’ penalty area and the match ends in a clear 0-3 loss.
