Due to an accident at the Vlisco factory on Binnen Parallelweg in Helmond, a 59-year-old man died on Sunday evening. The Dutch Labor Inspectorate is investigating the cause of the industrial accident.
According to a spokesperson for the Dutch Labor Inspectorate, the man was found at the bottom of a staircase by his colleagues around half past ten. Emergency services have resuscitated the man, but that help was to no avail.
The victim has Dutch identity. He worked as a cleaner at ISD Hopstaken from Afferden in Limburg. This company is hired by Vlisco. The man was working on the first floor and is believed to have fallen.
The inspectorate is investigating the exact cause. According to the spokesperson, the investigation would take several months.
According to a 112 correspondent, the victim was found in a pool of blood. Vlisco and ISD Hopstaken do not want to respond yet.
