So with this list I want to show you that I can sometimes dare to think outside the box and have watched films that do not correspond to my usual viewing habits. This is true of many classics and Oscar films.
Because the films that I mainly and one of my favorite films would be called “typical blockbusters” or “mainstream”. So something like comic films, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Fast and Furious etc.
Well, I also often watch films from other genres, art house and niche films etc., if they interest me or because they are cult films / classics, are celebrated by critics / viewers, have been recommended to me, etc. … and about these films is it here.
Here again in detail which films are included in this list:
1. Classics and cult films * which do not correspond to my genres (e.g. Star Wars does not count, but something like Taxi Driver)
2. Films that have been nominated for the Oscar as best film (or best international film) and do not correspond to my genres (e.g. Joker does not count, but films like Roma, Nomadland or Little Women 2019)
I hope I got it across somehow.
* Especially with the films from 2000 onwards, it is more difficult to say whether the film in question is already a classic or a cult film, so for some films I decide at my own discretion whether they should be included in the list ^^
By the way, only films that I have seen in the last few years (from 2018) are included in the selection!
