“Classic Pokémon Game Pokémon Stadium Joins Nintendo Switch Online”

MEXICO CITY, April 5 (EL UNIVERSAL).- As of April 12, Pokémon Stadium will join the ever-growing list of classics for the Nintendo 64 console, which can be enjoyed through Nintendo Switch Online.
Stadium, a battle-focused Pokémon game showcasing the original 151 pocket monsters, was first released in 2000 on Nintendo’s first console to explore 3D worlds.
A key point is that this edition of Stadium presents a significant difference compared to the original version, because Nintendo has made it clear that it will not be possible to transfer any of its own Pokémon to the game.
At its launch, one of the features that made the game attractive was being able to use one of your previously trained and prepared GamBoy Red version Pokémon in the Nintendo 64 title thanks to the N64 Transfer Pak, thus allowing it to fight in an environment 3D fighter.
It seems to be challenging to pull off this integration as there is currently no way available to play Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow on the Nintendo Switch.
It should be noted that, although there was a version of these games on the Nintendo 3DS portable Virtual Console, these versions were not transferred to the Nintendo hybrid console.
Without the transfer feature, you’ll have to rely on in-game rental teams, which probably won’t be as satisfying as training your own Pokemon.
Outside of this detail, the game will come with its different modes, be it battles against gym leaders, against other players or the well-remembered mini-games, all with the possibility of playing online.
Nintendo first announced that Stadium would be heading to Nintendo Switch Online in its September 2022 Direct, where it also said that games like Pokémon Stadium 2, Excitebike 64, and 1080° Snowboarding would be heading to the service.
To play Nintendo 64 games, you’ll need to subscribe to Nintendo’s highest-priced expansion pack tier, which, to the delight of many fans, already includes GoldenEye 007.
It is worth mentioning that at the moment the first Pokémon games have not been announced for Nintendo Switch, so there is still hope if they are ever presented.
