Strong performance of FC Erzgebirge Aue at FC Würzburger Kickers! The violets were able to celebrate a clear success with the newcomer and say hello from the top.
Würzburg – Successful ghost start! Because the number of infections in Würzburg is too high, no spectators were allowed in. They missed an outstanding performance in the second half FC Erzgebirge Aue.

He put the opponent in place for half of the time to turn up after the break. It was 3: 0 (0: 0) after goals from Patrick Strauss (60th), Pascal Testroet (63rd) and Tom Baumgart (90th + 3).
Louis Samson for Tom Baumgart and Jan Hochscheidt for Philipp Zulechner: Dirk Schuster made two changes compared to the embarrassing cup in Ulm.
What awaited Aue at Dallenberg could be seen after exactly 31 seconds. Würzburg’s Florian Flecker swaddled Philipp Riese and saw yellow. The Kickers tried hard to get into the game. The violets, all in white, countered it in a rustic style. So a game with hooks and eyes developed, but without goal area scenes.
In the middle of the first half, Würzburger was more powerful and had a really good chance: Louis Samson and Dominic Baumann (36th) flew into a cross from Flecker. Samson falsified decisively, the ball slipped just next to the post.
The FCE with its five-man chain and two six-men before that now had its problems. In addition, the Ore Mountains acted too hectically with a ball on their feet, often giving it away too lightly. But the use always worked!

Pascal Testroet came in for the not yet fit Jan Hochscheidt for the second half. “Paco” took the lead alongside Florian Krüger and it was another game.
Aue suddenly played tempo football – and successful too. The FCE painted a perfect attack on the lawn over Riese, Calogero Rizzuto and Krüger.
Krüger played a one-two with Riese on 16, passed the far post sharply, Patrick Strauss, who was also running, pushed in – 1-0 Aue (60th).
And 180 seconds later Krüger showed again what he can do. He pulled off an incredible sprint from the center line to the left, left everyone standing. Testroet used his thoughtful ball in the middle.
He put Leroy Kwadwo and keeper Fabian Giefer in the carousel, let them get out and put the ball into the mesh – 2-0! That was now worth seeing – especially “Flo” Krüger.
The rest was total control of the game against a now unnerved opponent. Kruger even forgot to put on the crown. After a pass from Testroet, he thundered the ball from ten meters into the crossbar. Tom Baumgart, who had been substituted on shortly before, made the 3-0 win, and in injury time he headed a cross from “Paco” in an exemplary manner.
