The violent clashes reportedly took place near the Damascus Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City, with some 300 far-right Israeli activists and hundreds of Palestinians taking to the streets. The Israelis chanted “Death to the Arabs,” and the police had to use water cannons and stun grenades to separate the conflicting groups.

It is also reported that the Palestinians pelted the police with stones. At least 105 Palestinians were injured, including 22 hospitalized, according to the Red Crescent. Police said about 20 officers were injured in the clashes.
More than 50 people were also reportedly arrested for throwing stones, launching fireworks, assaulting police officers and other violence during the riots.
