Eyewitnesses said that the Sudanese army launched an air strike on a site belonging to the Rapid Support Forces, south of Khartoum, on Monday morning.
Local residents also reported the intensification of battles between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, near the headquarters of the General Command in the Sudanese capital, in the early hours of Monday morning.
“Sky News Arabia” correspondent said that firing from medium weapons was heard in locations in Khartoum.
It also appears in a video clip of an army force roaming the streets of the Sudanese capital, in the early hours of Monday morning.
On Saturday, clashes broke out between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, after an escalating dispute between the two parties regarding the integration of the Rapid Support Forces into the Sudanese Armed Forces.
The two sides exchange statements proving its superiority in the battles, as the Rapid Support Forces said that it “recorded sweeping victories,” while the army confirmed its control of important sites such as Marawi airport and the leadership of the Kordofan sector.
