Clashes Break Out in Front of Israeli Police Station in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM – Clashes reportedly broke out in front of the police station Israel in Jerusalem between the police and the citizens Palestine . Police said one person was arrested in the clashes.

“There was a clash near a police station in East Jerusalem. One person has been detained, we found a large number of dangerous objects,” said Israeli police spokesman Michael Zingerman.

Meanwhile, radio station Al-Aqsa Voice reported, citing the Palestinian Red Crescent, that 10 Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israeli police near Herod’s Gate in Old Jerusalem.

Six people were reportedly hit by stun grenades and the rest were injured by non-lethal projectiles. According to the report, one person has been hospitalized, while the rest are being treated on the spot.

Public unrest escalated into 11 days of armed clashes between Israel and the Palestinian Gaza Strip, which resulted in more than 200 Palestinian casualties, which ended after a ceasefire was reached.
