Cairo – Masrawy:

The Attorney General ordered an investigation into the communications submitted by the competing parties to the Engineers Syndicate about the events that took place in the General Assembly on 5/30/2023, in order to find out the truth about what happened.

Clashes took place during the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate to withdraw confidence from Captain Tariq Al-Nabarawy.

The captain and members of the union’s supreme council exchanged accusations about responsibility for those events, which led to the suspension of the association’s outcome and Al-Nabarawi’s remaining in office.

The extraordinary general assembly was called upon a request submitted by 1,960 members of the Syndicate’s General Assembly, requesting the withdrawal of confidence from Tariq Al-Nabrawi. This request came after a series of mutual accusations between the Syndicate and the members of the Syndicate Council, who represent the boards of directors of the companies in which they participate with the Syndicate, regarding some decisions related to the Syndicate’s investments.
