Two community organizations (Ormas) were involved in a clash at the Sukabumi City Terminal to be precise on the southern ring route, Sunday (1/11/2020) afternoon. According to the information provided by the police, four members of one of the mass organizations were reportedly injured and received medical treatment at the hospital.
Kapolres Sukabumi Kota AKBP Sumarni said the incident was triggered by a misunderstanding between members of the Ormas which led to beatings and continued clashes.
“So today at around two in the afternoon there were a few incidents of beatings from members of one of the mass organizations to two people from one other mass organization. Then this action continued at 4 pm clashing in the southern route area near the type A terminal,” said Sumarni to media crew at RSUD R Syamsudin SH.
From the clash, there were four victims who were injured and now have received medical treatment at the hospital.
“Then from the clash there were 4 injured victims who we had treated in Bunut (RSUD Syamsudin) to get treatment. Then we also approached each group to lower their tension to protect each other then we asked for mutual deliberation not to make this problem bigger. and we will maintain conduciveness so that the number of victims will not increase again, “explained Sumarni.
Sumarni added, the case originated from a misunderstanding between the two groups that occurred in one of the minimarkets in the South Ring Route area. “The feud is, because at 2 pm someone used the attributes of one of the mass organizations looking for his brother whom he met at the minimarket, then there was a misunderstanding. Then maybe the one who was withdrawn did not answer there was a beating,” he explained.
Sumarni emphasized that his party will handle those who violate the law and will be processed according to the provisions. “We have handled parties who have committed acts that violate the law. Of course we will process them according to the provisions. We are also raising both parties so that they refrain from triggering the situation to become hotter,” said Sumarni.
