CLARENCE Seedorf so officially convert and embraced Islam. This decision was announced by the Dutch legend on his Instagram account, @clarenceseedorf.
In this announcement, Clarence Seedorf thanked his girlfriend, Sophia Makramati. Thanks to the help of his lover, Clarence Seedorf decided to embrace Islam.
“Thank you for all the nice messages in my celebration of joining a Muslim family. I am very happy to join all my brothers and sisters around the world, especially Sophia who has taught me more about the meaning of Islam,” said Clarence Seedorf.
Clarence Seedorf’s decision also invited a response from Manchester United legend, Patrice Evra. “Masha Allah Bro,” wrote Patrice Evra in the comments column of Seedorf’s upload.
Despite converting to Islam, Clarence Seedorf will not change his name. Just to note, there are a number of footballers who chose to change their names after officially converting to Islam.
Take Franck Ribery for example. Although he did not change his name, the former Bayern Munich player has an Islamic name, Yusuf Bilal Mohamed.
