On the sidelines of the World Cup draw, Seedorf spoke to RADIO MARCA on Friday about Real’s interest in the PSG superstar, among other things, and had a clear opinion on it: “Mbappe would fit Real Madrid because all the great players fit Real Madrid.”
The Dutchman knows what he is talking about. He played for Los Blancos for three years in the 1990s, winning the Champions League there in the summer of 1998. During his illustrious career, Seedorf was also under contract with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Ajax Amsterdam.

With a view to the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, Seedorf has not yet been able to decide on a favourite. “There are many teams that could win the World Cup but a lot can happen before the tournament starts and things can change by December.” Since it is too hot in the desert state in summer, the World Cup was postponed to autumn for the first time.
When Seedorf was supposed to reveal which game philosophy he liked best, the 46-year-old responded again diplomatically. “There are many ways to play football; you can and must get the best out of every team.” Seedorf last appeared as a UEFA ambassador for EURO 2020.
