AYACUCHO. Thanks to a police operation, a clandestine cocaine hydrochloride processing laboratory was destroyed, where more than 50 kilos of alkaloid in solution, 1,410 kilos of controlled chemical inputs, etc. were found. The action was carried out in the Ayacuchana province of La Mar.
The operation included the participation of 40 police officers under the command of PNP Commander Wilder Hurtado Cárdenas, belonging to the Maneuver Division Against Illicit Drug Trafficking VRAEM Palmapampa, through the Jungle Special Operations Group GOATJ. The Anti-Drug Prosecutor, Manuel Castro Sánchez, was also present.
This police operation was carried out in the vicinity of the Nuevo Horizonte annex, Nueva Victoria Populated Center, Santa Rosa district, La Mar province, Ayacucho region. Police personnel found a clandestine laboratory for the processing of cocaine hydrochloride.
Regarding the drug found, he noticed three plastic gallon containers containing, apparently, cocaine alkaloids in solution, weighing approximately 53,600 kilos.
Regarding the controlled chemical substances found, it was reported: five drums containing, apparently, acetone with an approximate weight of 900 kilos; 17 gallon containers containing, apparently, the same input with almost 510 kilos. In total, some 1410 kilos of this input were identified.
Among the found items were identified: two gas cylinders, an electronic mill, two hydraulic presses, two microwave ovens, two metal pots and two hydraulic jacks. Police personnel then proceeded to incinerate what was found.
