Mexico City. The Plenary Session of the Council of the Federal Judiciary Council (CJF) continues to discuss the amount of the budget that it will request from the Congress of the Union for the year 2025, and the amounts range from 69 billion to 75 billion pesos.
Sources from the Federal Judicial Branch (PJF) indicated that the smaller amount does not consider that next year resources will have to be allocated for the creation of the Judicial Administration Body and the Judicial Disciplinary Court.
The budget project has been presented to the Plenary Session by the CJF Administration Commission headed by Councilor Javier Molina Martínez.
The officials consulted indicated that the amount of 69 billion pesos will affect the salaries of middle and operational managers, which is why the counselors Bernardo Bátiz and Celia Maya have not accepted that proposal, while the counselor Eva Verónica de Gyvés continues without defining your vote.
Meanwhile, according to the sources consulted, the councilors José Alfonso Montalvo Martínez and the councilor Lilia Mónica López Benítez, have expressed their intention to vote en bloc with the minister Norma Lucía Piña Hernández, who has expressed, the interviewees pointed out, her intention opts for the lowest amount.
Yesterday the CJF Plenary Session met with four members in person (Piña Hernández, López Benítez, Montalvo Martínez and Maya García), and three virtually (Bátiz, De Gyvés and Molina Martínez).
The discussion of the budget for 2025 will continue this Thursday, and according to the records, for 2024 the amount assigned was 69 thousand 358 million pesos, according to what was published in the Synthesis of relevant information on administrative matters of the CJF in August past.
Of the entire budget allocated in 2024, 85.4 percent is allocated to personal services, that is, payment of salaries, wages, allowances, fees comparable to salary, social security benefits and expenses, labor obligations and other benefits derived from an employment relationship. .
Regarding the issues that were discussed in yesterday’s session and its results, information was requested from the CJF, through its Social Communication area, without obtaining a response.
