YOUTH. This year, the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de Beauce-Sud will celebrate 25 years of presence with young people in the region. Various events will take place such as a soccer tournament, merit galas, draws and an open house.
The organization, founded in 1997, has helped more than 15,000 people between the ages of 16 and 35. Since 2011, with the Trait d’union project for the reception and integration of immigrants, many newcomers and their families have received support. The services offered by the CJE de Beauce-Sud include, in particular, employability, orientation, intervention, various youth projects, reception and integration of immigrants, migration of young people in the regions (Place aux jeunes in the region) and the alternative school.
A new general manager
The Beauce-Sud CJE welcomes Martin Beaulieu, mayor of Saint-Benjamin and technical director of the Saint-Georges judo club, as its new general manager. He has experience as a manager, administrator as well as in human resources and communication. “I intend to participate in taking up the challenge of uniting the beautiful and great team of the CJE de Beauce-Sud and supporting it in deploying its competence and professionalism to help our region shine in its humanity”, considers Martin Beaulieu.
The next generation gets involved
As part of the “La Relève s’en Mêle” project, the CJE de Beauce-Sud is recruiting to find young workers, aged between 12 and 16, for the 2022 summer season. They will be able, from the end of June until n mid-August, participate in various training activities related to the employment environment. Small jobs such as lawn mowing, guarding, weeding and housekeeping will be offered to them. Interested young people should contact the CJE de Beauce-Sud as soon as possible.
