Civitanova Marche, a girl reports: “Drugged and raped outside a club”

A 14-year-old girl reported to the Carabinieri of Civitanova Marche (Macerata) that she had been raped by a 25-year-old boy, after an evening spent in a club on the seafront of Civitanova Marche (Macerata). The rape allegedly occurred during the night between yesterday and Wednesday, in the San Marone neighborhood.

The minor had arrived in the town on the Macerata Riviera with a 16-year-old friend. Both are from the province of Ancona and had been accompanied to Civitanova by their relatives who left them at the club. They were supposed to return home with their relatives, who remained in the area, but they had accepted the invitation of two 25-year-old boys of North African origin to take a walk and have a drink. So they left the club without telling their relatives.

The 14-year-old then went off with one of the two boys, who also offered her drugs, returning shortly after, around 2, to her distraught friend and telling her of the sexual assault. The two girls called 112 to report the incident. The Carabinieri of Civitanova Marche intervened.

The girl was taken to the emergency room for treatment and the pink protocol for women who suffer violence was activated. She was joined at the hospital by her family.

The 14-year-old was released after 24 hours. The Carabinieri will interview her in the next few hours and will collect the testimony of her friend. In the meantime, they are examining the cameras of the club to trace the two boys with whom they left on foot.
