Civilization VI player creates unique linear city circling the planet, gains widespread support

This week, Reddit user u/TheLogMan21 posted a video on r/civVI where he showed a civilization in Civilization VI circling the planet in one long line. The post, entitled “As requested, city line! (and other nice bonuses)”, quickly attracted the attention of other players, gathering widespread support. Although, technically, this is not one city, but a series.

In the comments, many expressed admiration for the originality and asked how the author managed to make such a map. u/TheLogMan21 explained what the editor used, proposing to create a similar vertical city and hexagonal empire in the future. Another user noted the similarity with the proposed Linear City project in Saudi Arabia – at least there is so much money there that even crazy ideas can be implemented by force.

Despite the atypical design, many appreciated the originality of the idea and expressed a desire to see new unusual cities in the future. It would also be interesting to see the development of a game where not one linear civilization, but several, located at different heights and having access to different resources, fight for dominance.
