When Steve Rogers makes his comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we will have to expect a change since the latter is no longer called Captain America, according to the directors of “Civil War”.
Don’t call him Captain America anymore, just Steve Rogers. If many expected it when seeing Chris Evans drop his shield at the end of Civil War, one of the directors confirms it with the Huffington Post : “The fact that he gives up his shield means that he gets rid of his identity”explains Joe Russo. “He thereby acknowledges that Captain America’s identity conflicted with the personal choice he was making.” In this sense, the feature film joins, in its own way, the famous series of comic books from which it is inspired, except that the superhero lost his life there.
And if the Falcon or the Winter Soldier have in turn taken up the torch on paper, and we can well imagine Anthony Mackie, or even Sebastian Stan, seizing the starry shield on the big screen, we can already and already wondering under which pseudonym Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Infinity War. Will he call himself Nomad, like when he stopped trusting the Government following Watergate, in the comic books?

What is certain is that the Avengers will need him very quickly, and it is for this reason that Captain America is not dead at the end of Civil War: “There’s a big purple guy coming”explains co-writer Christopher Markus, referring to Thanos. “[Steve Rogers] could be very useful.” And make up with Tony Stark on the way?
Captain America: Civil War will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 5th.
And if not, what was Thor doing during “Civil War”?
