The Saturday of the fair in Ciudad Real once again had a taste of culture and live music with the concert that the OFMAN held from 10 pm, at the Fuente de La Talaverana, in front of nearly 700 people who enjoyed the performances of the best film music. An activity within the 2024 fair and festival programme, organised by the Department of Celebrations and Popular Traditions of the City Council of Ciudad Real, after the success achieved in the previous edition.
“An event of this kind, which brings classical music closer through cinema, is a real delight,” said the Councillor for Culture, Pedro Lozano, who added that enjoying music in the open air and incorporating true classical tradition into the Ciudad Real fair, reaffirms our position as “a quality fair”.
For his part, the director of the La Mancha Philharmonic Orchestra, Francisco José Moya, stressed that this concert is the 50th of the current season and that it is always a pleasure to play in Ciudad Real and in this monumental place such as the Fuente Talaverana. “I like to reinvent myself and in this concert new songs from films and television commercials will be added.”
For nearly two hours, OFMAN performed popular soundtracks such as The Last of the Mohicans, Beauty and the Beast, Forest Gump, Aladdin and Les Misérables with a solo by Daniel Báñez.
