City State Entertainment (Camelot Unchained) announces Ragnarok: Colossus – News

While the MMORPG Camelot Unchained has been waiting since its funding on Kickstarter in 2013, the studio City State Entertainment has announced the development of a second game, named Ragnarok: Colossus.

The title was unveiled this weekend during a livestream. There where Camelot Unchained has the ambition to propose battles between large-scale players in a persistent world, Ragnarok: Colossus is focused on PvE and cooperation with massive waves of enemies to face. In development since last July, the game will be officially launched in late 2020 on PC.

Faced with this announcement, the players who helped fund Camelot Unchained in 2013 expressed their anger on the game forums and on Reddit, while they are awaiting a release date or news regarding the beta. Mark Jacobs, boss of City State Entertainment, said in an interview with Massivelyop that the developers have made significant progress on Camelot Unchained, and that the technical work done on Ragnarok: Colossus already benefits the MMO, knowing that the two titles share the same game engine (designed in-house). In addition, Ragnarok: Colossus has raised additional funds from investors, notably to strengthen the studio’s workforce. Jacobs also specifies that the contributors of the Kickstarter Camelot Unchained will receive a free copy of Ragnarok: Colossus, while dissatisfied players can request a refund.
