Turin –
Manchester City reportedly willing to sacrifice Raheem Sterling in order to bring Cristiano Ronaldo. However, Juventus want more Gabriel Jesus.
The issue of Ronaldo’s departure from Juventus to Man City is increasingly blowing. Ronaldo Agent, Jorge Mendes, reportedly met with the Juventus camp to discuss the client’s move.
Ronaldo’s contract with the Old Lady currently only has one season left until June 2022. This condition makes the Bianconeri have to let Ronaldo go this summer if they don’t want to lose the Portugal national team captain for free. Juventus also seems unlikely to take the option to extend the contract for CR7.
Mendes is said to want Ronaldo to leave for Man City. Mendes is even rumored to have contacted The Citizens.
Man City does need a new striker after Sergio Aguero left for Barcelona. Harry Kane was initially Man City’s main target to replace Aguero. However, Kane then preferred to stay at Tottenham Hotspur.
Reported by Spanish media, ASRonaldo has also been in communication with Man City. The 34-year-old striker agreed to join the Etihad Stadium on a two-year contract. City offer a salary of 15 million euros per year for Ronaldo.
Getting the green light, Man City is now preparing a transfer formula to bring Ronaldo from Juventus. The Manchester Blue team is said to be willing to enter Raheem Sterling in the Ronaldo transfer deal.
However, according to several sources, the Juventus camp is not interested in Sterling. They prefer Gabriel Jesus to be included in Ronaldo’s transfer ‘swap’ package.
The Brazilian striker is expected to be able to fill the position left by Ronaldo. Meanwhile, Sterling is considered not to be included in Juventus’ needs because he operates more in the wing sector.
Let’s see if Ronaldo’s transfer to Man City will be realized before the transfer window closes this summer.
