A patrol from the Winterthur city police ended several barbecue parties in the Reitplatz area on Sunday and reminded of the fire ban that has been in place since Thursday.
There are currently around 60 official fireplaces in Winterthur for barbecue fun in the great outdoors. It’s just stupid that you can’t use most of them at the moment. Because in the canton of Zurich, a fire ban has been in effect in and near the forest since last Thursday. But not everyone seems to have heard of it. The Winterthur city police also made this statement.
