Yesterday, September 6th, the evening ended with a special highlight for some of the city of Salzburg’s summer interns. As part of the “Live in Salzburg” festival, which ends today, September 7th, in the Volksgarten, the young employees who worked in various areas of the city administration during the summer months were rewarded for their dedicated efforts with a special concert evening.
Magistratsdirektor Maximilian Carpenter and Simon MayrHead of the Human Resources Department, thanked the interns and took the opportunity to point out once again how valuable the support is for the city – especially in the summer months. After all, they have taken on important tasks in a wide variety of areas of the city administration and have shown that they are an indispensable part of our community. Working for the city was consistently perceived as educational and appreciative.
David Panic worked in the passport office in the summer: “I particularly benefited from speaking to a lot of people. This enabled me to develop my communication skills in particular. I can highly recommend an internship with the city, and my colleagues were all very nice to me.”
Alema also Get rid of itwho worked at the Taxham kindergarten, has good memories of her internship: “At the end of the internship, I received a gift from my colleagues. And I really enjoyed working with the children.”
For Michael Hirnsperger It was already the sixth year that he completed an internship with the city of Salzburg: “I have been working for the city every summer since I was 15. At first I worked in building construction, then in the last few years in the city library. I will definitely apply here again next year.”
In the VIP area of the ice arena, the young guests had the opportunity to exchange ideas with (former) colleagues and to talk to the municipal director and the head of the human resources department. They were also given goodie bags and vouchers for food and drinks for the concert evening. Three of the interns also had the chance to win a backstage pass including a meet & greet with the band “Bon Jour”.
Afterwards, we went straight to the Volksgarten. There, numerous other guests were already waiting for the start of the penultimate concert evening of “Live in Salzburg 2024”. The weather was also good – as it had been on the previous weekend – so nothing stood in the way of a carefree evening in the open air. The festival, which has now established itself as an integral part of the Salzburg cultural scene, attracted thousands of visitors to the Volksgarten that evening. It wasn’t just the summer interns who were impressed by the atmosphere.
Today, at the end of “Live in Salzburg”, there will once again be some great acts that will create a great atmosphere in the Volksgarten from 4 p.m. in the best weather:
