The following topics were discussed in the building and environment committee on July 14, 2022, the last meeting before the summer break:
By decree of department head Martina Berthold, a total of EUR 19,315.05 was paid out in the second quarter of 2022 subsidy pot for Bike trailers and transport bikes forgive. This supported the purchase of 25 cargo bikes with electric drive, seven bike trailers and one bicycle for the disabled. The funding pot – endowed with 40,000 euros for the year 2022 – was already practically exhausted by the middle of the year, since about the same amount was awarded in the first quarter, as City Councilor Berthold emphasized. At the same time, given the strong demand, she pleaded for an increase in the upcoming budget. (unanimous acknowledgment)
The Austrian Conservation Union, Landesgruppe Salzburg, has been acting for many years as an important and helpful interface between the public and the nature conservation authorities and is continuously committed to the benefit of people, nature and the environment. The City of Salzburg has been promoting this area of activity since 1982. For this year, the committee has unanimously approved annual funding of 15,000 euros.
A third official report submitted at short notice concerns the Rehabilitation of the main sewer in the Schallmooser Hauptstrasse. Since an agreement between the parties is required for this award report with an order volume of around 5.5 million euros (gross), the majority of the committee voted to forward it to the Senate (14.7.22, from 2 p.m.)
